....i like the best! the birds were singing. the sun was shining. i was ready for my run! i hid the house keys in the truck and used a safety pin to hold the remote to the waistband of my pants. i remembered my ipod - hoping some tunes would be a great motivator. i pressed the 'on' button to the ipod and nothing happened - nothing!! grrrr......it was dead!!! there would be no music for this run. i went back to the truck and threw it in there. i then proceeded to the school for my much awaited run! yay!! it was a great run - i actually did better than expected! this made me very happy and gives me hope for friday!
i did a little bit of research today and i found a running club. i will be joining - my application goes out in the mail with my twenty dollar check tomorrow!! they will mentor and help me with my running. i will definitely post about it!!
i am also signing up for a 5K in londonderry. it's for their "old home day'! i have run one there before on mom's birthday: 8/16/2007. this one is on jac's birthday: 8/20/11. i find this strange. i think more in the fact that it just dawned on me today.
i have also decided not to record my food intake - it is just too much time on the pc. (i did, however, make some awesome scrambled eggs with feta cheese this morning!)

some like it hot...
...but i like it cool! it was 83 degrees at 8:15am when i went out to do my run. i only know this because i walked by our fire station. my original plan was to do my walk/run around the middle school. i wish i had known that there would be a summer camp being held there! YIKES!! there were teeny boppers everywhere!! the lesson learned here is to be at the school at 6am to do my training!! it will be a win/win with no kiddies and cooler temps!
anywho - back on track; i did go for a three mile walk down east broadway. the sun was beating down and i was sweating out of control. i did have my water with me - thank goodness - even though it was warm it was still refreshing! there were two very cute old ladies whom i passed coming and going. we exchanged quick hellos and good mornings! if these two can be out doing their 'thing' then so can i. they were part inspiration and they don't even know it!
i had a wonderful breakfast when i came back; a 2 egg omelet with about one ounce of chicken and about a half ounce of reduced fat feta cheese. it was delicious!! i wish i had taken a pic!! :)

WELCOME!!
my first post and i have no idea on where to begin!this is a blog about my weight loss journey and all of the trials and tribulations that i am sure will go with it! i have started this journey quite a few times thinking this time it will be the road to the end! no such luck - a few times! i am hoping that by inviting you to travel with me it will keep me grounded! it is a long road ahead and doing it alone is terrifying. thanks in advance for your company!! :)
i plan on posting my workouts and food intake (can't think of a better word) here. i am trying to learn how to run - another long road but only because i make it that way! if i were to just get out and do it on a weekly basis i would be able to run a marathon by now. yes, a whole 26.2 miles! it makes me want to cry every time i think of it that way. oh well, life goes on!
that's all for now my friends! tomorrow is monday and i will have lots to say by then!! :)
